Decani, April 8, 2007. The Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ was solemnly celebrated at Visoki Decani Monastery this morning. The service began at Midnight with the procession around the church and the Paschal Matins and finished with the Holy Liturgy at 5.00 a.m. The Paschal Liturgy was served by Bishop Teodosije and his priestmonks in the presence of more than 200 pilgrims from Kosovo and other parts of Serbia. The service was also attended by members of the Romanian UN police contingent as well as other members of the UN Mission and KFOR. After the service all the guests were served traditionally with Easter eggs at the Monastery refectory. In the name of Bishop Teodosije and Decani Monastery brotherhood we are taking this opportunity to extend our warmest Paschal greetings with the traditional greeting: CHRIST IS RISEN - INDEED HE IS RISEN! We are enclosing photos from the Easter celebration as well as the celebrations on Great Friday and Great Saturday.
